The best Dutch lager

Heineken. Specifically the Heineken in the Heineken Museum. This is currently the post on the SMB with most occurrences of the word Heineken.

Cue some spam from a smartarse.

Agree with Heineken served "Dutch" had a cracking couple of draught steins in Amsterdam.

They're mostly shit, their IPAs and blond beers are bloody excellent though. Anything by Brouwerij 't ij or De Prael is usually a corker. Two Chefs Brewing are good too.

From the stuff that has reached the mainstream, Grolsch is the best!

It is but iirc they only do one Helles style lager. Bit of a bruiser at the 7% sort of range. Not what you want from a lager imo.

Most of their stuff is Belgian style monastery ales.

The Dutch love a strong drink. Other than Heineken, everything else they sell around here is generally 6 to 8%. You get some bloody horrendous headaches from them in the morning.
