The best assist you've ever seen

It is like. No pressure on the ball, no speed in the build up, walking pace at times then a shot along the ground from 20 yards.
At the time it was probably impressive but when you really think about it it's nowt special at all.
There's dozens of goals scored like that every season.
Cambiasso in the world cup in 2006 is much better, more passes, faster tempo.
The Alberto one has mythical status because it was great at the time but now it can't be critcised because everybody has drank the kool aid
Let's just agree to disagree marra.
One of the best goals I have ever seen, from one of the best teams ever to grace a pitch imo. It was at the time, and remains so.

I dunno which one you mean but this one and the one after are canny. Stuff like this is why he'd have been my pick before Ronaldo if I was a manager and could only have one of them. Along with the goals and assists, he also does the dribbly stuff that doesn't get an assist but helps create an attacking move that can end up in a goal scoring chance.

.
This one just sprung to mind and given what Rooney did tracking back to protect an open goal and not only winning the ball but firing a 40+ yard cross field ball for the winner in the last minute of the match is a canny impressive assist.

That Rooney one is fantastic like. Sums up just about everything that was great about Rooney.
If only he'd got on the end of his own cross to score with a bicycle kick.

Was in the stands for the Rooney goal. That was a hell of a play all around, the chase, the tackle, the assist.

Wickham to Seb at Old Trafford during the escape, puts it on a plate while being hassled out at the corner flag. Larsson didn’t have much left to do.
