Cesc fabregas assist for Chelsea away at Burnley. End of thread imo
Speaking of him, I remember a pass away at Spurs that put Darren Bent through to win a penalty, which we missed iirc. Steed played an outside of the foot pass a full 50 yards, bending it around the CB and behind the FB for Bent to run onto. Bent I think was fouled as he got onto the pass, trying to go around the keeper. I'll have to see if I can find it, an absolute superb pass.Adam Matthews outside of the boot defence splitting pass a la Malbranque for Maja to slot home against some team I can't remember. Maybe Barnsley.
Watched it at work in Newcastle. They'd all shut up by that point and found additional "tasks" to do. Just me and a lad from Shields jumping aroundNot the best one ever, but.... 5:26
Not an assist but I can’t watch that game without smiling at Kay’s tackle on Coco the ClownI give you Eric Gates, 13’ 35“ into this video.
That Modric one against Chelsea a couple of months ago takes some beating.
Was gonna say De Boer for Bergkamp in 98 but tbh, Bergkamp does most of the work in that on.
There was a pass Messi made which went through 4 or 5 defenders inch perfect which I'll try and find. One of them ones where even if you see the replay you still can't see how the pass is on
Loved riquelmeI always liked the goals Italy scored against Germany in the WC 2006 semi final. Pirlo's composure for the first and then the no-look pass for Del Piero to run onto for the second. Both great finishes too.
Riquelme was always good for a defence splitting pass too:
There's one from us season just gone but can't remember which 5-0 home win it was but sure it was broadhead to Stewart on the inside of a defender, think it may have been Cheltenham........ Or morecambe
Yep that's the one couldnt believe it was us at the time brilliant brilliant playThis was one I was thinking of, it's at 0:38 here but it's actually the assist to the assist.
McGeady for Gooch in Wembley was absolutely unreal.
