Dont understand why cook or even bresnan himself did not review that !!!

i think england have lost confidence in DRS with the decisions that have been made in the series so far. we were using the review system really we up until this test but you just don't know what decision you're going to get...

why was he pulling in the first place? it's not really a nightwatchman's job to play shots it's to see the day out... we have to bat all day tomorrow and into day 4.

I was watching the game yesterday,i was impressed with the aussie bowling attack imo, especially there off spinner lyon.
We will do well to get a draw out of this .

Wonder how the decisions will go today?

And how bad is it getting when that is a serious question? Apart from the Khawaja dismissal, England have had the worst of them by far in this match, and probably the best of them in the last one. These two umpires are poor, Hill particularly looks out of his depth, looking shocked when having to give simple decisions. The LBW he didn't give against Smith was comical.

But the Aussies have batted tremendously well so far, and I have always thought that with their five man bowling attack they would get a win, and they have the runs to bowl at this time. We will need those decisions to fall our way today.

the umpiring situation needs to be addressed.

I must admit, despite wanting it implemented, Im starting to go off DRS. I am actually missing that moment in between appeal and the finger going up. There is just something final in the raising of an umpires finger and a batsman having to accept the decision.

The only way Id be happy to have the DRS is to have the review being asked for instantly. This ten second malarky where batsmen / fielders are having a conference is awful. If its a horror decision (which the DRS was meant to eradicate) then in the majority of cases you know its a horror decision.

The problem now is that the umpires are watching each others backs too often, as one week they are in the middle and the next they could be up in the loft on the button.

Third umpiriing needs to be a specialist job, and for me the best umpires should stand, whether they are neutral or not, providing both teams agree. Simon Taufell for instance, who baffingly has now retired , never stood at an Ashes test. How daft can that be?

Is it just me or is Michael Holding always moaning about something?:roll:

He's so negative.

Bell to the rescue again then

Our batsmen have been let off this series because of how bad the convicts have been
