I have also heard rumours about this but I have nothing concrete.RTRsBM said:not on here no
ceefax cat 2 said:go back to the murray interview which started this thread. he has not had anyone prepared to invest. that is a fact. i do not understand what you think someone should apologise for.
i will apologise the day you provide evidence that murray is a liar. to do this you need to show willingness and capability to put money into the club. if this person(s) does exist they have never made themselves known to the board of SAFC - and that is a fact
stubber said:Thanks for that Bob! Really interesting!
not quite true stubber. the banks could reduce the latitude they give us - resulting in less cah. They have the flexibility to do so particularly in the area of our overdraft (70% of our debt is a loan and unless we breech our covenents it cannot be called in) - the overdraft can be called tomorrow if the bank says so.
not saying the bank would call the overdraft -merely to say it is not necessarily true to say we will have no less cash if he left
ps the names john
Thinks...if Bob has nee money and is clearly a waste of space as a Chairman/administrator/businessman...wtf does he do? If he went tomorrow we'd still have the same lack of money...same debts...same infrastructure. But maybe someone with a business brain (with or without dosh) could lead us forward? How would that make us worse off?
RTRsBM said:i refer you to my earlier post when you the set a time limit. you want my credentials - you are trying to suggest you have the ear of the board - then lets have yours. tell us just how you are so knowlegebale about the bord and any offers
ceefax cat 2 said:thats right - im going to post on a fans board someones name who i have a business relationship/friendship with.
ceefax cat 2 said:i think we are violently agreeing. the bank will support us as long as we operate within agreed limits. the requests on here to show ambition - spend more than we have - we see the banks withdrawing support.
hence the nonesense on here that murray going could only make things better. the bank could push for more of their money back (less spent on team) very easily.

---Nemo--- said:Where do the people opposed to Murray say this? I think what's actually been said is that he's failed over a long period of time so why not try someone/something else. The fact that people want Murray out doesn't imply that they also believe it would automatically deliver success.
ceefax cat 2 said:i did not say all have this view nemo. but i am sure you are aware a number of people on here have said nobody could do worse than murray - i do not agree with these people. i think there is basically 3 groups
Youre missing the point.ceefax cat 2 said:
1 murray should fuck off as anyone would be better
2 murray should go if someone will invest in the club
3 murray should stay hes done a great job
i am in group 2 as i think the majority of sensible fans are - including i believe bob murray. those in 1 who claim/imply that murray is rejecting capable and interested investors are simply misleading people.

what does he mean by that.
We didnt avoid that fate at all...we ended up absolutely in the shite like everyone else.
My Boy Harry said:Youre missing the point.
whilst there are no guarantees in life Murray has had 20 years to make Sunderland a stable premiership/top flight team. He has fialed in this task.
It is now time for someone else to give it a go.
He/she may or may not be better but they deserve their chance.
ceefax cat 2 said:i would of thought it was obvious he was refering to administration. As i made the point earlier ipswich are still effectively been run by the administration agreement which has raped there club
ceefax cat 2 said:no i am not missing the point - we merely disagree. you think someone/anyone who may be better or worse should have a go. Presumably determined by some local lottery or perhaps a reality tv programme.
It's also very possible that the club will prosper greatly. I'm prepared to take that chance. I think that a few others probably would be as well.ceefax cat 2 said:
i look at forest + sheff wed. i dont want things to get worse than they are - very possible.

Explain that comment or are you just taking the piss?ceefax cat 2 said:

Some achievement that eh? It begs the question of who got us into the financial shite in the first place.ceefax cat 2 said:i would of thought it was obvious he was refering to administration.
