Absolutely mate, and I'll be retiring there in the not to distant future.Most of the lads commenting saying people are perverts are absolute belters. Think they fail to realise it’s one of the best countries to go back packing in the world. My friend literally went on he’s honeymoon there with he’s wife

Yes, Ao Nang is great for a holiday (at least it was Before Covid). It's a nice balance of not too quiet but not too crazy and is a good base to explore the area.
Used to love Samui about 15 years ago but it become far too commercialised and expensive.
If I was to live in Thailand long term, I would probably base myself in Chiang Mai. It's got all of the facilities of a city but is cheaper than Bangkok and it you fancy a weekend in Sin City or on one of the beaches they are just a short flight away.

We only just allowed alcohol sales today, and that’s just restaurants until 9pm.
However, as ever it’s still corrupt as and you can get alcohol anywhere anytime as long as you don’t mind drinking out of a tea cup.

I started watching that then I kind of figured out what it might be. I didn’t get so far into it to see if my hunch was correct. Especially not when I’m using my work phone at work (on a break) and using work wi-fi. And enough people on here know what I do for a living to know why that might be a problem.

Just worried about the entry requirements now, hope they change in December when the next update is expected

I think (not certain) they'll be pretty the same for a while now. They've been super cautious (despite being the first in SEA to open up). However depending on your destination I don't think a 6 hour hotel quarantine is too bad!
