Thai cave boys

Jokes aside, this is brilliant news and absolutely amazing they have all survived.
Imagine how those English divers are feeling, f***ing proud as punch I bet.
Hope the rescue operation goes well now

I'm proud of them. Once again those plucky brits help save the day. Team effort all round though. Was real heartwarming stuff watching the footage where he was asking how many of them etc.

Even training them to scuba will take weeks for a tunnel dive like that you would think. Obviusly can lay a cable for them to drag themselves along you would think.

At least they can get dry stuff, food and drink in for them now.. even maybe some ipads and light so that the kids can occupy some time

In the rescue video shared by the Thai Navy Seals, the two British men can be heard telling the group they are the first to arrive but "many more are coming".

One of the group can be heard saying he is very happy, while the British voice replies: "We are happy too."

One of the boys then says: "Thank you so much."

Someone asks the men where they are from and the British voice replies: "England, UK."

Get something in my eye when I read that

Definitely a team effort, the Thai authorities will come out of this well (hopefully, fingers crossed the rescue is successful)
But those 2 divers who got there first must have been excited as fuck when they surfaced, the young'uns were probably cheering like fuck and then when they switched the torches on and seen them for the first time....amazing

US navy seals took the footage so they were obviously there with them.

I have no idea but leaving them there for 4 months is clearly not going to happen.

neither is getting them out in a week. its a treacherous dive in pitch black around ups and downs and about 2km in length.

Now tey have pin pointed them I wonder if then can bring any drilling gear in to do a bore hole at least. wouldn't want to risk the integrity of the cave though

take weeks to train a diver just to get them out. and there is 13 or so of them. can panic with a dive tank in that environment... you cant exactly surface

If they have to they will have to. Main worry is it isn't in the proper wet season fully yet so the area they are in could flood if it gets higher

I'm not arguing the complexity of it.. I can imagine its a logistical nightmare but in my opinion they wont be in there for 4 months and would probably be out within the week.
