Thai cave boys

Will no doubt have already been raised, but what the sweet fuck was this football coach doing leading a group of bairns that deep into a cave? It's absolutely baffling.

I've seen him called a hero for looking after them down there as well. I think he's the polar opposite.

One of the boys was having his birthday and as a treat he asked to go into the caves which are a local tourist attraction. Unfortunately the weather changed and rain caused flash flooding in the cave forcing them to go deeper and deeper. If you need someone’s arse to kick and be the scapegoat then feel free to attack the birthday boy.

In the meantime, the parents, who are not as vicious and vindictive as you, have praised the leader for keeping the boys together and safe, even giving what little food they had to the boys and going without himself.

Wow.

Time to give everyone a chance to sleep and debrief before bringing out the rest?

Aye, just said there is only 12 I think that are skilled and proficient enough to bring the boys out. There's 2 cave divers per boy. So they're taking their time, but will ramp it up if/when the rain comes.

There was talk of criminal charges for the coach earlier this week.

He's already cost one bloke his life.

Edit, there's 18 of them. 13 cave divers and 5 elite Thai Navy divers. It takes 9 hours to get out!! Source - BBC

Not strictly true. Anybody that is involved in in the rescue surely knows the dangers. Yes, he was involved in trying to rescue the group but ridiculously harsh to push that blame onto the coach. It's a shame that anybody has lost a life over this though.

Think they jumped the gun with the 6 story.

Still a long way to run on this sadly. Not quite a third of the way through and conditions are worsening. You could see on the TV interview that the rain was pelting down. But I'm sure they will go as fast as they can.

Does sound like they have taken the weakest first though so hopefully the later ones might be a bit quicker or more able to deal with things if the conditions make it a bit tougher.

Don't know if I'm reading to much into it but Reuters announced that 6 were out but the official line is that only 4 are out and in hospital having checks
They said they would be brought out in 4 groups - 1 of 4 and then 3 groups of three. So it looks ok - biggest group with the weakest lads out first so fingers crossed it gets easier.
