It seems Pakistan are reluctant to produce a spinning pitch given their lack of a frontline spinner, yet their pace bowling options this series appear to be pretty weak too. Shaheen Afridi who you would think as their leading seamer was dropped for this test due to his form, while Hamza and Ali who were selected are both 31yo, played less than 6 tests each and have bowling averages above 40.
For a country like Pakistan with their size and cricketing history, it seems mental that they are struggling to produce international quality players.
