Terror attack on London Bridge

Dunno about you but I feel vulnerable as fuck on the tube. Weird atmosphere on Monday (obviously). I've had to walk past the bridge about 10 times already...

The tube is probably one of the safest places to be in London really. They leave every ten seconds or so when you spread it across all the lines. The chances of anything happening on your train, never mind in a near carriage is incredibly slim.

You're far more likely to die in a car on the road or cycling about.

I get it though, that few seconds when you consider it. Just gotta get on with your life.

I think it's the not standing a chance more than an attack if you get me. I can look after myself tbh but when you don't even see it coming.

You do have to get on with it, I agree, and I do. As you say though when you have that 1-2 to think/reflect or whatever....

I was on the tube on Sunday morning and I think because the attack had just happened I was in a frame of mind of 'well it's too soon for it to happen again'..i went to see shows on Wednesday and Friday night and was alarmed how lax the checks were when going in,people going in with rucksacks, sportsbags and the security barely looked inside.

Doing random car searches near our office today.

Have to walk over London Bridge twice a day this week, once at 6.30am second at 10pm, weird as fuck

The only plus was seeing Sarah Jane Mee there setting up with Sky News.

In all seriousness seems like a film seeing somewhere you socialise everyday like this

All the missing posters up there too

Some poor fucker has been blasted in the head by the plod in the cross fire :(

It was just bravado man, none of them were any serious threat.

Joking aside, it sort of seemed that way when I watched the programme IIRC (or maybe I just thought like that as they openly appeared on camera, unlike the undercover mosque documentary).

Totally agree mate. It was almost like it was a piss take.

confirmed that another aussie lass is one of the dead... her family flew to london this week to find her as she had been missing since the attack. they had to use DNA to confirm her identity.

Video now doing the rounds on Facebook of the moment they get shot......

Just after they stab a poor fella who wasn't quite aware of what was going on!

Found out today a lad in my team at work was driving over London Bridge as it was happening...Before the police or ambulances got there. His stories are horrific. Really brings it home when the stories aren't edited for TV and its someone you know. He wasn't physically hurt but what he saw and heard will stay with him for the rest of his life.

At risk of sounding like a puff, does your work offer counselling services for stuff like this?

It does, yeah. I suggested it to him, but he isn't interested. I'm not going to push him but I'm going to ask him how he's doing in a few weeks or months time.
I worked with a fella who was on the train that crashed in Paddington around 14 years ago and saw some horrendous stuff. He was fine for a few weeks after but really struggled then. He's not the sort for counsellors but said it really helped him deal with it.

Shocking..

After watching 1 fella get stabbed I cannot begin to imagine what it was like to watch several.

Pal of mine was on that train as well - he was a high flyer but nice lad with it, he then lost all motivation and took a sideways job out in the sticks

Train was about 1997 wasn't it?

'99 apparently.
Our company had just relocated from Reading to London. One of the perks the Reading lot got was free first class train tickets. There were 6 I knew on that train. Luckily all of them on the 2nd 1st class carriage...The one behind the one that got obliterated.

just came onto this thread to see if it had been mentioned. Mental. The speed in which they arrived and disposed of the threat was incredible.
