Works with the tune of the Lumberjack song off Monty Python
It was out on record. I remember Bobby Knoxall singing it as well in Hylton Castle or Town End Farm clubI couldn’t get a ticket for the game, all time classic Sunderland song.
I couldn’t get a ticket for the game and to see it on the telly’s not the same, all the lads and lasses were leaving at the station I couldn’t get a ticket for the game
When I’m in my bed I can lay and dream, dream the dream of a Sunderland lad and thinking of the team.
I couldn’t .......etc repeat
Classic 73 song , to tune of blaydon races surely someone can upload from hyperspace
Kevin Ball man marked mcmanahan0-0 I think. Quinn had a great game causing havoc. Class all white away kit with the red trim.
I remember it being vic halom as wellI saw that very letters page !I'm sure it was Vic Halom in the first line not pop though ?
Is there one for Sunderland songs. Just thought it'd be canny to have them, even revive some at the match for players long gone who left a mark, even if most of the crowd never saw them.
Only one I can think of being sang is the Gary Rowell one, another I never saw play but sang along nonetheless.
