Ten Hag…..

Can see things capitulating at United like, Glazers pissing around with the sale, Antony potentially being suspended, Maguire and Evans getting game time together as a CB pairing and ETH throwing players under the bus in the public eye.
I’m sure they just took a fullback was it? on loan with a buy out clause as they were near ffp guidelines was it? Looks a long old road for them to slim down the fringe players on mega wages and bring in decent fresh meat

and then as said above to have McGuire who ten Haag has stuck the knife into that much and evans as a centre half pairing, not sure that’s ever gonna work well for them

He's agreed to take the Brazil job at the end of the season.

Ten Hag doesn't seem like a great man manager and that keeper he signed doesn't look great. Maybe he just needs time to settle

It’s the same with a lot of Dutch managers to be honest. They are arrogant and won’t change things despite the obvious.

I maybe would say it’s the glazers fault, they’ve essentially managed down any ambition..are Man U a destination team for the top quality players? I mean once ur in the 200k + bracket per week, does it then come down to where players feel they will win something, besides the stupidly high Saudi wages.
if there’s say 200k on offer at arsenal and 200k at Man U, in the past you could maybe say if folks wanted to get silverwear and play in an exciting team Man U would be the place. As they are now I’m not sure that is the case anymore. So much dead wood hanging about the place I’m surprised there hasn’t been a fire
man utd pay many players more than 200k a week i reckon.

Was just an example..I seem to recall rashford is on 375k a week alone, a bad season or loss of form and that starts to look very expensive…sancho will be on huge money too and he’s been shit. McGuire as is his right won’t be bullied out and he’s on 200k all adds upto a shed load of cash flowing out of the club for little to no advancement

They were bloody unlucky yesterday tbf. They should have won it.
I thought they were poor. Arsenal should have been out of sight before the offside.
He has been unfortunate with injuries but recruitment hasn't been great. The new striker could be anything but almost certainly not the finished article. Keeper looks dodgy. Amrabat, on what I have seen, will certainly improve them and assist Casemiro who has been very poor thus far.
Any manager who thinks Anthony is worthy of a start at Manchester United will always be questionable though.

TBF they won cups between Busby and ferguson but not leagues...same as now..
Yes that's my point. Man United are being judged on leagues and other than Busby and Ferguson, no one has done that ie won the league for MU since 1910/11 (incredibly) - (busby managed United from 1945 to 1969)

Their transfer window was awful. They would have been better off having newcastles transfer window as would have been better than what they got. Add that to an already underwhelming team, they are miles behind arsenal and city.

yeah if tottenham and or chelsea recover a bit after their horrific seasons last year united may not get top 4..when you look at their starting 11,...it doesnt gleam with quality in the way some other teams do..

I think it's quite interesting that the only managers to have won the title with MU since 1910/11 have both been Scots, of a similar mentality. Suggests that it's a certain type of manager who ultimately brings home the big trophies to MU eg league and EC/CL.

Maybe MU should be looking within the British Isles for a manager rather than succession of big name continentals.

i think oit comes down to can you offer garuanteed champiosn league football? United are in it this season but werent last season..if they dont become more consistently in it..they will be just of the same stature as tottenham..ie a team you go to because you cant quite get a garaunteed to be in the champions legaue level team

no Guarantees they make it again, but should be 5 teams next year in the champs league from england so that should help but gonna be a while before Man U are seen as anything but also rans in the prem

Chelsea won't finish ahead of United
nothing to suggest spurs and or Brighton won’t finish ahead though, then u have Liverpool, the mags and villa. Gonna be an interesting season for sure with a lot of unexpected results weekly, and could well lose antony even though he’s shit if there’s mileage in his escapades

It’s going to take them a generation to recover from the disaster that was Ed Woodward

They started with Martial yesterday and finished with Maguire and Evans.

How anyone can argue against this being at best a mid-table team is beyond me.

And he made Fernandes the captain ffs.

They could do with buying some younger players
Ludicrous that they’ve got Casemiro, Eriksson etc then they buy in Evans 🤣
Sancho has to be bad if he can’t get a game ahead of Martial
Maguire and MacTomminay hanging around
Total shitshow
