Telly adverts

Can anyone remember when adverts for stuff on the telly used to be about how good the product was, rather than some sort of unrelated social campaigning?

Like adverts for cars would be about how good the car was, not about how good lesbianism is?

Adverts for razer blades used to be about how close a shave they gave, not about discrimination?

Coffee adverts used to be about the taste of the coffee and the quality of the games, and not about lasses turning themselves into lads?

Am I just imagining that or has it always been like that?

Your right they want us to buy into this dream world where anything that was classed as shall we say unsavoury is shown as the norm

perfume ads are like that. they're really nicely shot and look great but theyre just weird and make no sense. that one with Natalie Portman where she looks at the camera and says "what would you do for love" is like a piss take 😄

or johnny depp doing donuts in his car in the desert

I like it how film trailers even have their own trailer now, letting you know when the real trailer is coming out

I can't believe the adverts during "normal TV" these days - Tampax, fanny cream (vagisal?), Tenna lady, love honey, durex, Viagra - not saying that the products aren't needed (by some😜), but, must be some embarrassed families around when watching the telly these days!

Always makes me laugh when you see how very hard they try to get at least a 50:50 ratio of genders and ethnicities in the adverts.

Have to say this one I saw today is good

Tango are normally canny adverts. One for the older SMB'ers as the 1st one is a classic and got banned as loads were doing it to people :lol: The 2nd version of it is at 1:20 as they changed it from a slap to a kiss.

Also this one was a belter when you first saw it

I do not usually agree with anything you say but not on this shit youre right. It's a bloody farce but they're aiming for the pound that's not tied down in binary gendered ,child rearing, mortgage having , life long planning mandatory expenditure .
