Telescope advice

Son's birthday soon, think he'd like a telescope. Started looking around on the net and was overwhelmed with the information. Wondering if anyone on here is into stargazing and could give a bit of advice. The WiFi goto mounts look great, moons and planets are the main aim. say £400 top

A decent go to will be outwith £400 new.

Used to be able to get Celestron nexstar 6e’s for about 650. The 4 could be worth a shot as I think they’re equipped with a go to mount.

Ultimately depends on what you think he wants to look at. Different types for different jobs.

When owa lass was in labour they had this mad little vagina telescope. Went up the entrance of the fun house & you could see the babies bonce in the birth canal. My daughters head looked like a little coconut.

Not what you asked, but it’s a bit related.

4se looks to be about 495 new from the likes of Amazon and jessops. Second hand on eBay obviously cheaper.
