Team vs The Mags

sland

Central Defender
Premature I know.

If you had a fully fit SAFC squad what would your team be against them lot. Watching them against Everton now and biggest worry is centre mid and their physicality.

Mine would be:

Patto
Hume Onien Ballard Alese
Roberts Jobe Ekwah Neil Clarke
Mayenda

Huggins seelt ballard o'nien/alese cirkin

Neil

Bellingham/pritchard

Clarke rusyn roberts

5 at the back will be needed with Newcastles calibre, play counter attacking with wingbacks overlapping wingers to give more options. Clarke on right, roberts on the left so they can cross the ball with their strong foot. Get plenty of crosses along the back from the wings for Rusyn and Bellingham/pritchard to get on the end of.

Genuinely one of the worst teams I've seen put on here mind.

Pritchard or Bellingham as centre midfielders even though neither are capable of playing there against Championship sides never mind one of the best teams in the country. Our best player/two most dangerous players played out of position to play in a role they've never played in their careers 'so they can cross the ball with their strong foot' to a lad who's about 5'9 or 5'10 at a push.

What could go wrong?

Seeing as Cirkin is injured, that's our best team imo and that's what I would play
Need to fit Amad in there somehow.
Well, he's fit again

Needed it haha.

Fair shout, set pieces will be a worry, hence why I went with Alese, toin coss between Rusyn and Mayenda
Cirkin, despite being slightly shorter, is way better in the air than Alese. Despite Cirkin being nominally a LB and Alese more of a CB, if both are playing, I'd be tempted to put Cirkin as LCB and Alese at LB.
