Will grigg has been tactically socially distanced for about 18 months now, nobody is allowed within 30 yards of him.

I can't understand why one of the players didn't get themselves sent off which would surely have resulted in the game being abandoned and saved everyone standing around waiting for the game to be completed.

the player would have got a ban and a fine. they were playing the game to avoid a £200 fine.

Arbroath 36 Bon Accord nil is still more impressive.
At least the Bon Accord players tried.
The pitch was wet and muddy and the Bon Accord players lost their boots and had to play in their work shoes.
Also, the ref reckoned the score was probably higher but he took pity on Bon Accord and miscounted.

"On the same day, 18 miles (29 kilometres) away in Dundee, Dundee Harp were also playing in the first round of the Scottish Cup against Aberdeen Rovers. Dundee Harp beat Aberdeen Rovers 35–0. The referee noted 37 goals, but Harp’s secretary suggested a miscount must have occurred as he had recorded only 35. The match official, acknowledging it was difficult for him to keep accurate details during such a deluge of goals, accepted the lower tally and wired the official score of 35–0 to the Scottish Football Association headquarters."

How was it only 37-0? The players took the kick off, passed it to the opposition and walked off the pitch. Why did it take the opposition 2/3 minutes to score each goal?
