The Searchers is very good but I enjoy She Wore a Yellow Ribbon better. Also Red River.

Me father told me for years I should watch it. Decent enough but the wedding scene is an absolute farce. I'm not keen on John Wayne as a rule, but I think I much preferred True Grit.

Give me Clint Eastwood any day.

Movies For Men shows some great low budget war films (the films are low budget not the wars) and also showed the magnificent Hercules Returns a few times.

If you like TCM try Talking Pictures channel and the weirdly named Movies for men - both have the odd gem or little seen film. I'm sad enough to scout all 3 on a regular basis. TCM has far too many John Wayne's for my liking.

She saw them all, recorded them everytime they were broadcast, bought her The Searchers on DVD when she was dying, can't watch it meself now though but.
