the legal entity is Ofcourse a separate entity but wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the owner .The corporation tax was never theirs. It’s payable by the legal entity of the company, not the individual.
The company pays taxes on profits made through trading in and from the United Kingdom. The company then remunerates its shareholders who, if registered as domiciled in the UK, pay their dues.
There are more than enough legal structures in place to ensure they still have enough to live in big houses, drive expensive cars and eat at smart restaurants.
AgreeCorporation tax is paid by the company.
Everybody who works for the company helps to make the profit which is then taxed.
As for personal tax, we are taxed on what we earn. Earn more pay more. If you want to pay less ask for a pay cut.
I don't care what people earn as long as they pay tax at the relevant rate on it/
I say this whenever there's a 'footballers earn too much money thread.'
You’re still conflating the company with the individual.the legal entity is Ofcourse a separate entity but wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the owner .
Thanks Tim
As I said include corp tax, personal tax, employer NI, employer pensions contributions plus the wages to staff and their taxes and the benefit to local businesses ……..wow nowt special I suppose !
I’m not conflating anything .You’re still conflating the company with the individual.
You couldn’t run your business without your staff. The law says the company pays their statutory contributions. It’s not you that’s doing that.
If it’s too big a burden, you always have the option of going back to being an employee and see things from their view again.
Grade A bollocks.
He's been called out for years for his treatment of brewers and staff.
The way he went on through the pandemic was a disgraceful too.
I’m not conflating anything .
If Tim had not started weatherspoons the company it wouldn’t exist .
Weatherspoons pays corp tax thanks to Tim starting the business.
I never said he could run it without staff ?
He also looks like he stinksTim provides a value for money range of products and services that enough of the demographic pay their (taxed) income on to generate profit for Wetherspoons.
Tim gets amply rewarded for his vision and business acumen.
Tim has also said some things on public platforms that not everyone agrees with. Being a public platform, people who don’t agree with him have legitimately voiced their concerns. Equally, others have expressed their support for his views.
Tim has been accused by some of his staff of some less than desirable attitudes and actions to them.
Tim is a human being.
Some people think Tim looks like he stinks. He also looks like he stinks![]()
