fancy getting another one, last one was 22 years ago:lol: what's the crack with them now as I think you have to book in the decent places.
Do people design them themselves or give the tattooist some idea and they will help with the design or just do what I done, walk in and pick out the 1st thing you see on the wall:lol::lol:

You generally find that the decent ones will take your idea/sketch and make it workable as a tattoo.

The two that get mentioned on here alot are Elixir and TripleSix and are both supposed to be top notch.

Where are they ?

I did what you did and just picked off the wall too! :-D

You can certainly go in with a design now though and they'll help you get exactly what you want.
If you don't have a good one in mind, I've a mate who is excellent that I can direct you to. Think he's over North Shields though so it would depend whether you can be arsed.

I quite fancy another too but I'm struggling what to choose!

Most places will do a walk in day! But you could have to wait hours and even be told that they havn't got time to do what you want. Another factor is the size of the piece, if its going to take more than 2-3 hours to complete, then they will recommend you book a session in.
If its a custom design, then go to the prefered artist with what you want and they will work with what you give them! Dont settle on" Aye that looks great!" get it done only not to like either the position, something about the design or the colouring. Be absolutly certain of the desing and everything before putting needle to skin!

I am currently 7 1/2 hours into a Samurai on my leg. I book 2-3 hours at time, paying £50 an hour. Reasons are I can pick and choose where and when I want to go and get inked, so allowing myself to get over the pain until the enxt sitting. Cost, would probably be much cheaper if I did it in one sitting, but that would mean booking the artist out for a whole day to esnure the piece was finished! ( Plus after 3 hours I was in fukin agony and glad when he called time)

Also with designing it yourself, its unique in that no one else will have that piece, even state to the artist to destroy the design when he is finished. With going in and selecting one from the many on display or in the flash books, means that someone somewhere will also have that same piece

Dont walk in and pick something off the wall, it will look shit.

And you your research on who is going to tattoo you, and their individual style to see if its similar to how you want yours to look.
