Taste and Smell Have Returned

Can't begin to say how happy this has made me. Lost both of them with Covid in March of last year and have been miserable since. The only smell I was getting was this awful puss-like smell in just one nostril (the other had given up working even for snots). Doctor thought it was a bit strange, and was fearing something sinister so she sent me to the ENT specialist and they found a rather nasty infection of my sinus. Two weeks on and a round of antibiotics and steroids and things are getting back to normal. Went out for dinner the other night, and had brisket, as I bit into it the flavour flooded through.. have to admit, the old eyes got a bit watery... Yesterday I was out in the garden and the neighbour was cutting his lawn and the smell of the grass was amazing...

I'm a very happy fella right now!

It's amazing just how rough it is without both of them, something we totally take for granted. Pleased it's on the mend!
