Taking my boy today

Hope he enjoyed it mate. Think I was about 8 or 9 the first game I went to. Joe Bolton was my hero

That would have been a good idea, he wasn't happy where we normally sit, too loud and aggressive, moved him to the padded seats and he's been asleep the last half hour.

Never mind, he'll be able to say he's been going since he was 2 when he's older.

Well it didn't exactly go smoothly, he was shit scared the minute we got inside, too many people, too much noise, upper 19 suddenly seemed a bit intimidating. He wasn't happy there so we moved to the padded seats where it was half empty, he went to kip for the last 20 of the first half and didn't wake up until half way thru the second half!

He woke up and just said I want to get out of here, I made it to about 80 minutes and headed for the avenue. Soon as we got outside he was really chuffed about it all, little weirdo, kept in talking about it all the way to the boozer.

Got him his first sunderland scarf from the trailer shop, he is well chuffed with that and won't put it down. Loved taking him but a bit guilty he was scared by it, character building I suppose but it'll be a while before I take him again when there's a bigger crowd.

Fab pics Joe - his mum must be a cracker...

Left before the end anarl - part timer

At least that what travis said

it's in the blood now ! Took my eldest when he was 3 half had to take couple of things to keep him going on his first game bloody freezing cold December day v Southampton and that was when super Kev and Sir Niall were in full swing and like all of us has watched some dross since then but Red and White through and through

As I say it's in the blood once been hooked even when we're playing shite

My lad was nearly 4 when I first took him. We lost 3-2 to Plymouth and Daryl Murphy scored after 30 seconds at which point he burst into tears at the noise of the crowd cheering.

He's a seasoned pro at 12 now though.

It will be my daughters first game v the Arse at end of Oct, shes's 8 though so will hopefully be ok.

You've caught an idiot with a beard in your first pic, probably want to take the to a specialist to have him removed

Lovely pictures

Took my eldest when he was five and the noise scared him when the teams came out and he wanted to go home. Persuaded him to stay and by the end of the match, he was yelling his head off with everyone else

Youngest is 7 and got a few sniggers yesterday when she asked in a big loud voice "Mam, why's Adam Johnson got girls boots on?"

He might of wanted to stay if we were any good mate, i felt much the same as him by 80 mins.

What a beautiful little boy. He looks topper Joe. :D

Cheers, he is, he has his mam's big brown eyes and good looks, as you can see he doesnt get them from me.

Don't let it put either of you off, at 3 he won't understand, at 13 he will bloody love you for it

That was my thinking, my dad never took me, he was always working and is from down south so I didnt get to go until i was about 11 when my sister took me, I was hooked from the start. I wanted to get him in ealry incase he comes up with anything daft and says he wants to be a mag fan, I'd be f***ing heartbroken if that happened.
