@GK can't make it so is kindly letting me have his ticket for my boy, he's 3 next week so is a bit young but he went to a cup game last year and loved it.

Bit apprehensive about him going to a game where it's fuller and noisier, and without his mam cos he's a reet mammys boy, but he seems to be excited about it.

Do I bother taking toys n shit or do I hope he will hold his attention for the whole game?

Excellent stuff!
I took my lad last year when he was almost 3 and he was fine, took a bag full of sweets for him like, had to leave about 15 mins before the end as he was getting very restless.
He loved it tho, loved Samson the best.

Took him to the man utd game this year, he's now 3 and a half and I noticed a big difference in how he behaved, he sat quite still for most of the game.

Magical experience tho.
Enjoy it and take plenty of pics

No way a three year old sit without distractions. My bairn is eight and still needs Nintendo to get through a game. She is a lass admittedly.

Can he play up front, Joe?

Toys & sweets!

My boy was 3 when he went to his 1st game and I thought he'd want to fuck off after an hour but he loved it, was totally taken by the whole atmosphere. We lost to Chelsea that day so he started in true Sunderland fan style with a defeat!

Yes Joe.
Took my daughter a couple of times last season, sweets work.
If you can get there early.
Mine met Samson and Delilah who were milling around the stand,
she loved that part.

My little girl was 3 last year for her first game, she was really good until the last half hour. He will love it. The boy is 6 and went to his first league game a couple of weeks ago, was a bit shocked by some of the language but loved the noise & atmosphere.

He was great at the cup game last year, sat watching me the whole time clapping when I clapped, but got a bit scared when we scored. Probably not have that problem today but it was half empty last time so he could put his feet on seats in front which he won't be able to do today. I can see the bloke in front getting brayed by Thor today.

Take something, an iPad or summit

Took mine when he was 4 and I had to leave half time, he was doing my f***ing head in

Took my boy to his first game 2 seasons ago v man utd - when we took the lead and the roar went up he absolutely shit himself, then asked to go home right up till half time - was fine after that.

Taking him today for his second game (financial restrictions last 2 years) he's 6 now and thinks I'm buying him a pint so is looking forward to that!
