Purely for discussion purposes I was just asking a hypothetical question about the impending change in shareholding’s in the light of the recently announced investment in SAFC that was publicised last Friday in certain media outlets.
Do you know for a fact that KLD is purchasing 60% of the club?
There’s a lot of discussion about who will have what percentage shareholding when the changes take place but we haven’t seen definitive figures as yet. Or have you?
The only thing that seems clear so far is that Satori, Methven and Donald are all staying on whatever changes happen and I’m intrigued to see whether, between them, they retain a shareholding that will effectively render them still in charge of all major decisions making or whether the real power to move us forward quickly will be in the shape of whatever new blood is coming into SAFC.
Of the three current owners Sartori will presumably have the biggest shareholding and will fall on the one hand towards people he knows well in SD and CM, and on the other towards the new people that he has been instrumental in bringing in. He seems key to the whole scenario.
With Sartori’s ongoing involvement in Uruguayan politics it seems that one of the most important decisions will be to appoint a senior figure to oversee operations on a daily basis on the behalf of the main shareholders in the new set up.
