I agree they have been a stain on our club and i will begrudgingly hope they make a few quid provided it means we are successful ........However we must not let them change the narrative their tenure has been a disaster for our club and we must never forget this...........SAFC fans have long memories and we should keep our best jimmy hill welcome for don and charlie if they show their face around our club again especially if they dont pay back the parachute moneys as promised.

To the extent that this hasn't already happened, this was always and will remain the responsibility of Madrox. JS and Kyril simply inherit that commitment.

Yep. i just noticed that. Note there are no attributions of for any of assertions. Also that December is only two weeks away, which concurs with the Guardian's estimate of timing, though I've heard suggestions it's actually closer than they were saying.
The fact it’s out in the media tells me it’s in the final stages. Hopefully just a matter of dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. 🤞

Their ineptitude is being rewarded ... but even they must sense that the new guy(s) are a different class and therefore a long game large payday is possible

Gut feeling this coukd be the first strategic move
By the possibly the wider family... if we ever make it back to the PL they could be more shateholders, kyril could be the initial face of their eventually ownership ??
Not really. They've done a lot of work reducing our outgoings. From a business perspective, it was essential. Additionally, we have a team that's favourite for the league. I'm not arguing or supporting an opinion. Lots of wealthy business people specialise in steadying failing business for profit. That's whats he's done, steady the business

Martin Hardy. I'm not familiar with him.

The other point raised as a "hurdle" FPP "ratification". But why... surely they just need paying back? They have no stake.

Aye, I wouldn't expect any issues with FPP.
Firstly, the new lad would be rich enough to simply pay the loan back (if they buy into Madrox and which, if it's heavily weighted in FPPs favour would seem sensible anyway). Even if they need or want to keep it for some reason, I can't imagine FPP saying no. After all, they've got more chance of getting their money back with the new lad than with Donald, and if they ever wanted to get involved later they'd be better off without Donald treading water for years. The only reason I think they'd say no is if they want it for themselves, but since it broke down last time there's been no evidence of that and you'd imagine they'd have made their move before now if they were going to since this now seems very far progressed

I've been thinking about something Donald said earlier "Juan is back, and he's being very vocal". I can't help but think that Sr Sartori has been less than impressed with events, but, at 20%, couldn't actually change anything.

I can't but think if it wasn't for Satori Donald/Methven would have never graced us with their poisonous presence tbh.

He quite possibly doesn't want them here. In fact I'd go as far as to say he almost certainly doesn't, simply because him and the other lad have enough money to not need someone like Donald keeping a share since he can't really bring anything to the table.

Unfortunately he can't make them go if they don't want to. If all Donald would agree to is selling most of his shares now and selling more when we go up (which I imagine is the case, and then maybe a smaller amount kept in case we get to the PL), then Sartori wouldn't have a choice other than to walk away entirely. I doubt Donald and Methven will have any say when this goes through, they'll be purely hoping to get a bit of profit. It's undeserved but as long as we progress as a club I'm not overly bothered
What we don’t know just now is the state of Donald’s other business interests. These are strange times mate, there is a chance we can rid ourselves of him sooner rather than later.

Favourite based on what though? Weve filled the squad with plodders. Sold our best player half way through the first season too.

I hate Stewart Donald and Methven for having destroyed any ambition this club had. However, I won’t begrudge them a nice little earner by holding onto their shares, because it means we have been successful
I’ll begrudge them it tbh. They’re incompetent and deserve to take a bath for their dreadful stewardship of the club over the past 2 years. It’ll be no more than a minor irritant if we’re successful though.

It has come at a real cost .... selling kids and condemning us to lg1. Ultimately he's turning a profit by reducing the clubs capacity to grow. That will only ever by acceptable if we eventually attract investment which restores the clubs ability to grow abd thrive... if we perpetuate the fiscal strangulation of the club for profit whats the point ?
