This is the first video I've actually watched with him in it, and I had to rewatch it. Clown of the highest order.

What really caught me out was his accent. I had assumed - maybe it was the ZZ Top/Cajun/redneck appearance - that he was American. That'll learn me not to judge a book by its cover!

I'm amazed he finds time in between fake meetings for his fake energy drink and fake IT consulting firm to learn about a football club.

The reason Storey sounds convincing is because he reads this forum and regurgitates whatever gets the most likes.

Everyone going on about his “knowledge” of the club.

Other than mentioning league titles, our average crowd, who our current manager is. Oh and that Short once owned us and Di Canio once managed us. It’s not exactly “research” that takes someone months is it.

If you were going for a job interview wouldn’t you research your potential employers to the best of your ability, gauging public opinion and using it to your advantage is surely in his interests?
 
The only news I am seeing is there is no news. I have to say, this is a strange time to for anyone take on a football club. i looked at different angles and come to the same conclusion.

Yes it is. I'm not criticising him for that as such, just saying he sounds logical because he's just mirroring our fears and desires.

He was being interviewed and didn't break stride, he's either a good actor, a charlatan or heaven forbid he's actually telling the truth. By the way all the stuff he mentioned wasn't 5 minutes worth of research. I just can't get my head around what he'll gain by it.

He knew we’d won a lot of league titles and that we averaged 30,000 last season and we’ve badly blown a lot of money in the past. He claims to have chatted to Short and mentioned that Di Canio once managed us. Also randomly threw in a Quinn mention.

Other than that it was just positive guff that any fan of any club would want to hear

What “research” and extensive knowledge that wouldn’t take him minutes did he really give?

agree it’s basic stuff, I wonder if he has spoken with Ellis or if he has was it just a hi Ellis hows it going man type of convo or more specific about us. I doubt that mind

Would you expect him to break stride? They were his questions and his prepared answers - nothing to get tripped up by and certainly not an "interview" where he was going to be caught off guard

It more or less has to. It's already been suggested that sorting out Covid-related contingencies is taking a lot of time. The further delay in getting crowds back is just another layer of complications.

It came across to me like it was a mag taking the piss!!

All too scripted and certainly not a normal interview.

Certainly not someone who should be running any football club, let alone ours.
