I would argue that the most important decision the chairman makes is the appointment of the manager. Would you say Ross's appointment was "awful"? What about PP; too early to say?

I think he fucked up even before then as for me the manager isn’t the most important decision. It’s overall football structure - and Donald’s decision to forgo an ordered football structure and proven performers for no structure other than that provided by a couple of mates was a disaster. Ross was ultimately a bad hire. Parkinson too - for the remit he was given initially. Hopefully now he ‘failed’ at that remit he’ll be better in time, though.
