read above what my response was. This is rubbish Bob.
Yeah I did. No idea why you made stuff up in the first place. The cost of Grigg gets spread over his contract anyway in the accounts. It's disingenuous to suggest the annual profit was swallowed up instantly by it.read above what my response was.
Lockdown is making me clucking mentalSorry like, but haway man![]()
Spelling is an optional extra on this board man! Those puns would have been brilliant if you could spell
i aint getting into a slagging match tonight cant be arsed with you. i bet you respond to this post.Yeah I did. No idea why you made stuff up in the first place. Don't see them for anything, don't buy all this they ruined the club stuff and all the hate that goes on here. They said they had a 2yr plan to get out of this league which has failed. We all support the team mate. And having poor owners deflects from the chances we have. You’ve staunchly defended them all year. Good to know you’ve finally seen for what they are
i would not be surprised in the slightest of Short came back as an investor alongside some very solid football people. Yeah he fucked it up, but for people to knock a guy who invested hundreds of millions of pounds in our club and wrote a shit load more off to ensure our survival really shows that we have some very dumb fickle fans. Someone with his kind of money with unfinished business who has had time to review his mistakes is always going to be interested in coming back in and making a success of something. That's ego. Also, the situation this time is very different from when he bought the club originally. All of the facilities are in place but in terms of everything else its a blank sheet of paper and an opportunity to take an altogether different approach based around long term youth recruitment.
I will. I thought it was a reasonable response, can you come back with why he is wrong. No slanging match, just a reasoned response which can be discussedi aint getting into a slagging match tonight cant be arsed with you. i bet you respond to this post.
I hope not. He was shocking and left us absolutely goosed in the championship.
Ten years in the PL doesn't sound too bad now.
The truth is, with whatever went wrong, it was only when he decided he wanted out and stopped properly funding us that we dropped like a rock.
Because it wasn't sustainable mate. It's like having a lovely car on the drive that you don't own, can't afford and are in a heap of debt living a lifestyle that's beyond your pay cheque.
Short appointed the key personnel, the club were
losing money for years yet never addressed it at any point. His short-sightedness, failure to replace people at the club that weren't performing and giving up when we were relegated have all contributed to our current plight, an established league one club that are grinding out results.
and the guy made billions in his business life and you can bet he did that by keeping his eye on the ball and not by appointing idiots
Unfortunately for SAFC Short trusted charlatans to run the business. A wholesale review of how the club was being run would have highlighted this and remedies appliedand the guy made billions in his business life and you can bet he did that by keeping his eye on the ball and not by appointing idiots
great post, if you add into that how much Bain and Byrne had away from the club, the over staffing mega commissions paid to agents and shite players on massive contracts.Because it wasn't sustainable mate. The piss taking had to stop, but don't let the hate of the 3 Amigos spoil your view on how we were being run.
The answer was a call from Bain asking for another few million to keep us afloat after he paid millions into the club 9 weeks earlier.Ten years in the PL doesn't sound too bad now.

Don't ask about the TC and Mike Morris deal on Grigg, supposedly SD's mate. Thanks Bob.
