Seriously nowt can be happening man.

Not a sniff in the media . If there was summit it would be discussed a bit. Not who it is but at least a bit of feed.
Got announced this morning the company I work at got taken over. Nobody had a clue it was happening. Not one ounce of gossip. It just happened.

Don't need any balls to call anything, I have got things wrong like when we were relegated 2years in a row. Also got plenty of things right. But will just let you think you're right. As for precious bairns just read your own post!!! Mr Angry

As I mentioned in the reply, my response was simply in the style of how you like to play it all out every time. No humour.

I’ve defended you at times on here for the shit you sometimes get, but you really are your worst own enemy mind.

Now get on defending something else that will be proven utterly wrong. You lurch from one to the next one. Quite the skill;)

People saying Ross is the most at fault because “he picks the team” may want to consider that he didn’t want Grigg, but had him forced on him anyway by SD.

One goal away from promotion even with those kind of issues in terms of club structure isn’t too bad. Second season he was far too cautious and it was probably time for him to go but I think he’s a better manager than we saw here.

Whether he's a better manager than we saw here is a different point though.

Like I said read the post properly, it's not defending anyone. Couldn't careless who the owners are I support the team.

this. It was always going to be easier for the manager that followed Ross not to play Grigg

We were set up several different ways that season in doomed efforts to find a blend. You could equally argue that in hindsight we actually overachieved, rather than underachieved.
Yeah, he couldn't decide whether to settle for the draw or take a point if possible.

Either way it didn't really work, we drew far too many and only got a point from many other games where we didn't draw.

There was no confidence in the squad from day one and it showed in the performances no matter what the setup. We should have been dominating games and going for the throat home and away, yes we may have been caught out now and again but I don't think we would have been relying on the playoffs for promotion at the end of the season.

Genuine question. Is that SD's fault or does the blame lie at Jack Ross's feet?
Ultimately it was SDs fault he gave JR too long seemingly without challenging what was a horrible style to watch and was happy with "safe", defending a slim lead at home for 80 minutes for example. JR was too afraid to allow them to play football however I feel SD set the bar too low for him. For SD anything less than automatic promotion should have been seen as a failure - he should have relayed this to JR so he knew what was expected. He was too quick to state the terrible state of the club rather than pointing out our obvious strengths and potential of the most expensive squad in the history of the league 1. Should have been lifting them up allowing them to express themselves on the pitch, not managing expectations and giving them a get out clause for poor performances.

The fitness levels under Ross were shambolic. We had a 1-0 lead on countless occasions after a bright start only to end up blowing out of our arses in the 2nd half of games and inevitably concede.
That doesn’t happen anymore which is credit to Parkinson.
Agree about the fitness levels under Ross. That first game at home to Oxford start of the second season. That was the most unfit shambles of a team fitness wise I have seen from a professional football club.

At the end of the day the manager picks the team, decides the formation and the tactics and that either wins or loses matches. Are you suggesting that if the buck stops with the owner then clubs should just do away with managers altogether and have the owner responsible for team selections and tactics?
I would like to think that as an owner you would have some communication with your manager. You know meetings to ask how things are going etc. Discuss results and what he can do to support the continued success of the squad moving forwards. The way that season panned out with the gradual decline of the playing style and the results I am not sure this happened. I genuinely thing SD was happy enough to not be beaten. Short, rightly or wrongly was much quicker to react to a decline in performance and results. It generally resulted in a new manager who generally turned things round to such an extent that we were not relegated. The year he changed his own tactic on that was the year we dropped out of the premier league.

The thing with Ellis Short is that he made some disastrous mistakes. But also got to feel a bit for him. After Poyet wasnt backed properly and it was going a bit sour he got in big dick, he said he wasnt staying after the season we send him some flowers and then he come back great! we all thought turned a corner including Short! then he didnt stick it out. Lens was an expensive lazy player that didnt turn up once big dick had left. In Allardyce he though he had sorted ot again then along came England. (Thanks Roy) With Moyes I dont think any of us were anti Moyes when he was announced I thought great we will stabilise. The rest is just a cluster fuck. Ellis did fuck up but he was also a victim of circumstance.

Any news?

Are we close to shopping in Harrods yet or still scrapping around in the bins behind KFC?
Thats a bone of contemtion. We'll not be bettering anyone for a whole so got a few opn here in a flap. Plenty getting (Drumb) stick about it too for sticking their beaks in. All this would end if Donald stopped trying to feather his nest with our cash, can't ever afford a Wing(er) ffs. Surenly theres a colonel of comfort out there somewhere...

Ross lost his way... made some mistakes and was saddled with clown school owners

We all support the team mate. And having poor owners deflects from the chances we have. You’ve staunchly defended them all year. Good to know you’ve finally seen for what they are
