I remember when he let a Bruce loose aboot oor hoose.Crivvens .... He still owns Skibo Castle ..... Hoots Mon
Inherited a PL team and left us in the 3rd division. He was a disaster and the worst owner in our history. Our best extended run in the premier league suggests otherwise. Granted, it ended in tears.
Donald is romping away with that accolade for me.Inherited a PL team and left us in the 3rd division. He was a disaster and the worst owner in our history.
Donald inherited a 3rd division club and still has a 3rd division club. Short inherited a PL club and left us in the 3rd division.Donald is romping away with that accolade for me.
But we may never know where Donald would have took us. And i don't mean upwardDonald inherited a 3rd division club and still has a 3rd division club. Short inherited a PL club and left us in the 3rd division.
I know.Donald inherited a 3rd division club and still has a 3rd division club. Short inherited a PL club and left us in the 3rd division.
Yes you may agree but did you actually understand it, I wish I did as he is so informative but I'm normally lost after the first 2 sentencesI agree with everything GOM has said there.
1st sentence, fully agree. 2nd sentence, absolutely disagree. 3rd sentence, doubt it. Final sentence, it depends.Short’s only fault was employing the wrong people to waste his money. He was as gutted as you or me that it all went tits up. I’ll bet he thinks back, ‘If Only’.
I would love to see him back here, sure he’s learnt by his mistakes.
But how many do I get out of ten.1st sentence, fully agree. 2nd sentence, absolutely disagree. 3rd sentence, doubt it. Final sentence, it depends.
You get a Honeyman 7But how many do I get out of ten.
Maybe it wasn’t the first time he was involved in trouble.Oh, you’re being serious about being upset he sold us Johnson?
Johnson was a good player for us, how on earth were you expecting Marwood to know what would happen in an incident years down the line?
No problem with him as a footballerWere you complaining when he knocked in the last minute winner against the mags to help beat them once again?
If i may, i have know Brian since we were 5 years old, we lived in North lea Seaham till he went to Hull City, i still speak to him on a monthly basis, so lads this is fact.over the road saying Marwood (looks like) coming in. now i'd love that to happen. as we need knowledgeable football people in to the run the club. people are saying why would he leave City to come here ? unbeknown to anyone his job at city could be under threat. yes he's done a great job, but he's been there a long time, and the owners might be thinking its gone a bit stale, let's face it they are miles behind city atm,.so maybe thinking its time to freshen it up there
he also maybe looking to get out before he is pushed, and if a brilliant project at his hometown club comes up.... he may think, why not ! (I'm sure they will pay him a VERY decent salary for leaving his current role) this might be the only chance he'll ever get in his lifetime, and may think, I need to grab this now.
this isn't me itk or owt, just trying to think laterally as to why he would come here. it maybe all a load of old bollocks, because lets face it, we've had our hopes dashed many many times before being a safc fan, not just over the most recent 'going's on'
anyway, let's just hope that this is the beginning of the end for this current regime, and we have a new one incoming with fresh/big ideas for the club ! we all absolutely LOVE our club, its in our blood and our veins ! and we deserve a decent go at it, we've suffered more than enough !
so let's hope it all goes through smoothly, and a new period of magic carpet(ness) is here ! and a modicum of success is somewhere on he horizon(although I'd absolutely LOVE world domination tbh though new gaffers
)
anyway keep the faith, and![]()

In May he was asked if he would be interested in doing some work with the club, but till the finances were sorted nothing would happen, he is not joining SAFC.
Sorry but he is staying at City, some want him home but it's not happening.
Still a MLF
Do you think that there will be a well known name joining the club in some capacity as some are talking about, even if it isn’t Marwood? If i may, i have know Brian since we were 5 years old, we lived in North lea Seaham till he went to Hull City, i still speak to him on a monthly basis, so lads this is fact.

Once again you show your true colours, black and white, yes but no is a proper lads fan, he is red and white, as i said unlike you MAG.Course he was. But he’ll now call you a mag, and you’ll get grief from his alter ego’s. Vauxie the nob, gilly the dildo and his 3 other log ins.
What, of the nature that he got done for?Maybe it wasn’t the first time he was involved in trouble.

It’s been mentioned the person is successful in football, I would be happy with either Kenyon, Marwood, Cortese, Garry Cook or big Sam.Do you think that there will be a well known name joining the club in some capacity as some are talking about, even if it isn’t Marwood?
Top post that mate, i will not ask that tho, i think it's to personal. Can you say who was asking for him to do some work and what was this some work.
I do know as well that a very highly respected goalkeeping coach was asked if he wanted to come here (this a while ago) and he didn't. He was really torn up about it, as he classed the safc job his dream job and he would be coming home.
So I can appreciate efforts being made
Garry was spoken too but he has just committed to a new project. It’s been mentioned the person is successful in football, I would be happy with either Kenyon, Marwood, Cortese, Garry Cook or big Sam.
All names seem out of our reach but we haven’t a clue who is coming in.
I see Garry Cook stepped down from his advisor role at Marseille in May this year.
