Takeover News/Rumours

Would you expect him to break stride? They were his questions and his prepared answers - nothing to get tripped up by and certainly not an "interview" where he was going to be caught off guard
If it is a wind-up what does he get out of it apart from a tiny bit of exposure on the media. Why hasn't Donald said he's talking bollocks?
Like what?

He knew we’d won a lot of league titles and that we averaged 30,000 last season and we’ve badly blown a lot of money in the past. He claims to have chatted to Short and mentioned that Di Canio once managed us. Also randomly threw in a Quinn mention.

Other than that it was just positive guff that any fan of any club would want to hear

What “research” and extensive knowledge that wouldn’t take him minutes did he really give?
OK supposing he's done superficial research. What does he stand to gain? Why hasn't Donald said he's a tyre kicker and isn't involved in the so called takeover?

Both Rich Energy and Wolf Data haven't filed any accounts and the director who runs Wolf Data seemingly has no listed history up until last year when the company was started. I mean he looks as though he could probably fix your steam train if it broke down, but not convinced he's going to be an entrepreneurial genius of a startup IT company that has just generated £10m of deals

He obviously gets money from somewhere as must cost a bit for the motorbike sponsorship but it's a very strange one which I assume would end badly.

I imagine he has probably spoken to Donald and made a "bid". I just expect he hasn't shown any sort of proof of funds. If there's an NDA involved Donald might be limited in what he can say (explicitly saying he's shown no proof of funds might breach it). I'm sure a journalist said he wasn't being taken seriously, which might well have been the club doing what they can to let people know that he's not expected to be buying the club.

Something to do with selling one or more tobacco farms in Zimbabwe is what I've read.

Takeover still on course according to NB. 😂

Well... you can read it one of two ways - one is that it's still on course because he hasn't heard it's off, the other is that it won't meet the original timescales he was given, so has changed slightly in that regard.

I don't believe Nick Barnes has any knowledge he hasn't passed on. He is just guessing based on previous conversations until he gets another call from his source close to the action, Donald Stewart.

If it's a wind up, who's going to take him seriously in his next venture?
