Mate, I've seen an email from someone directly involved in the takeover talks saying it's close to completion. It's so weird that people are getting such vastly different information, but unless this person is outright lying for the hell of it, we'll know either way soon. Fingers crossed

To posters on here that I know know him. I’m paraphrasing but that’s along the lines of what he said. Mind, you don’t know how accurate it up to date even his information is.

It was mate. He also said it wasn’t Storey, for what’s it worth. The Fuhrman denial was bizarre though, very adamant it wasn’t him. Very disappointing.

Only thing thats keeing me remotley positive is i cant see Dave Jones allowing the owner to spin a lie about on going sale. If the statement to Barnes was not factual i honestly believe Jones would have stated so and walked. If the mask evading bearded wonder does take over lets just hope hes genuinely got the backing of the billionaire and numerous multi millionaires he claims to have.

True, it was a month ago at least. God knows who it is though. The person who said about it being close is being chased/harassed daily for updates though.

Didnt say we know this, As a fan of the club hes far closer to the fans than the owner. Just genuinely cant see him allowing it to happen. Suspect he has far more integrity than that. Could be wrong but...

What an absolute joke of an interview. I'm amazed anyone took that seriously. It's like a piss take with Alan Partridge. And as for the covid bit at the end, dear me.

Anyone who wants this clown anywhere near our club needs to lay down for a bit!

Hopefully it is all rubbish and he's just enjoying a bit of publicity (although he's only being talked about on the SMB as far as I've seen! No offence Roger).

I listened to Storey being interviewed and couldn't disagree with anything he said. He was spot on about how short had been fleeced and for a non Sunderland fan he was remarkably well informed. He certainly does his research whatever his motives are. I found myself wanting his fake consortium to be real. I just can't make out why he's so adamant that he has bid for the club. Unless he's working for SD.
