I listened to amon duul 2 and there was a song called pale gallery that is really eerie and trippy and has echoes of the twilight zone theme intro.
I can't get into the band 'can' and prefer faust, neu and the more conventional 'elfenbein'.

I do like more stuff that way inclined these days, Neu and Tangerine Dream are often on funnily enough.
