He was terrible against the Aussies though. I just think number 8 batsman is irrelevant, just judge on the bowler, if they think Jordan then fair enough

Plus Wood seems not suited to T20 the more I watch him

Wood is useful to have in ranks
Bairstow is a much much better player than Jacks and needs to bat in the top 3 and Brook has to be at 4
If jacks is in the team it would be at 5 at best and even then you want a left hander before him

Wood has been awful to easy to line up in this format and utter brain fade for the catch on De Kock.
But the batting in the power play was awful Bairstow swinging like a rusty gate and Butler batting like he had all the time in the world.
With the damage Brook and Livingstone did the rest just needed a run a ball but we chewed up deliveries in the power play.

Them and the Saffers have already played the weakest team in the group so to be expected really. If we can get our NRR above WI then we're guaranteed a SF place I think.

And if West Indies beat South Africa to go to 4 points and we beat USA leaving us all on 4 points I would imagine unless very close games we would then have better NRR than South Africa.
Worst thing that could happen is West Indies beat South Africa and our game rained off

I wouldnt put it past WI to beat South Africa. They have a decent T20 team, home advantage and they already beat South Africa 3-0 in a T20 tour this year. Smashing USA will have been great for their confidence aside from NRR. We also know South Africa can choke.
