This story started on Direct Sport News, was on Newsnow the other night, its probably complete bollocks!
Aye, I can see 'fat Mike' sat on his sofa with a bag of Kettle Chips making shit up haha! Sports Direct News ffs

I suppose this will be the outlet that break the news that Newcastle are after Messi!

I wonder what you could reasonably expect from this squad next year if kept intact with no further additions besides signing permanently the loanees. Is it a top half side with maybe a couple of cup runs?

As Perry says there are weaknesses......Brown is injury prone and O'Shea goes to bits without him so I would be looking for another CB. Very happy with the keeper, both full backs and the midfield of Ki, Bridcutt, Cattermole and Colback (on Newcastle form) but I think we need another all-rounder in the Steven Gerrard mould........we actually had an ideal candidate but chose to sell him on. Sticking with 433 I really like Borini and Johnson flanking a hard working, mobile central striker but unless Jozy can find goals to supplement his game I'd see him as the weak link in the front three. A Ricky Lambert type would fit very well imo.

Borini for Johnson. On the face of it not in a million years but there are other considerations, how long does AJ have on his contract, if 2 years or less will he extend it? If not we have to look at getting the best price for him and if that included Borini coming here then it might be worth considering.

In short no I wouldn't but there are wider considerations than simply one player for another.

Lazy journalism

Realistically, Borini will be back at Liverpool next season and Rodgers will look to sign Konoplyanka (again) or an alternative abroad

Also if AJ happens to have a big WC we'd be inundated with huge offers that would give us plenty to buy players like Borini.

Everyone's seen what he can do now, not much chance of him dropping significantly in value. Could really rise though.

He's consistently hinted that he will go back to Liverpool. Can't see us getting him permanent unless Liverpool let him know he isn't wanted.
Going to end badly for him. He'll go back, sit on the bench for his best years, finally have enough, move somewhere and never live up to his potential or be as happy as he is now.

Put it this way, borini is worth way less to liverpool than johnson does to sunderland so im out. They will ship borini out imho, it obvious brent dont fancy the lad even when he was playing him it was out of position people will say he plays in the similiar role here however he is given the freedom to come inside something that brent didnt seem to allow him to do. Offer them £5-7m and i think theyd sell him.

wtf is this still being discussed on here, it's tedious and f***ing boring!

To the OP, you're boring. Why don't you use the search buttin and find the other threads on exactly the same subject, every f***ing week on here.

He doesn't want to stay beyond this season, he's young and wants to do well at Liverpool.
