Swap deal for Borini?

He cost them 10.5 mil (11.3 mil euros) so id probably say we need to pay around 6 or 7 which for a 22 year older who is proven to work for us is good value

He's consistently hinted that he will go back to Liverpool. Can't see us getting him permanent unless Liverpool let him know he isn't wanted.
I suppose he thinks of himself as "CL fringe" standard but surely playing, winning & scoring goals will bring him round ?

We shouldn't need to since he will be in the last year of his contract with Swansea next season. They're not going to get even close to what they paid for him. The only problem might be bigger clubs if they're interested.

Realisticly which big club will come in for him though? I can't see any of the top 7 going for him.

Ki should realise that everything here is set for him to become a good prem player. Top training facility's, fans who adore him, manager who "gets" him. Why risk it all going to a big club where he will sit on there bench.

They give us a player who doesn't figure in their managers plans, we give them one of our best players. Aye that sounds fair! Whenever one of our players has a good spell, journos and agents start their mischief.

What a daft suggestion, why would we let our biggest asset go just to secure another player who isn't quite as good? Liverpool would sand to gain more than us, so they'd have to sweeten any deal considerably.

It's obviously tabloid rubbish but the way Johnson is playing at the moment means it would be pure madness to sell him, regardless of gaining Borini. It's important that we hang on to our players and learn from our past mistakes

I can't see it either but there always seems to be 1 or 2 "WTF?" type transfers to the top clubs in every window. I think we've got a damned good chance of getting him though for relatively little outlay.

Then offer 2.5mil

Start low marra. We know they know that he is surplus to requirements. Rogers will see any offer a bonus.

We should not pay more than 4.3million imo.

That is not how football works and never has been. Someone would happily pay more than that so why would they accept such a low offer?

Well considering Borini has emphatically stated he's returning to Liverpool, I would suggest its bullshit.
