Swansea prediction?

3-0 or 4-0 to us. Some of their players are overrated though they do gel as a team. If we play 4-4-2 and the front two press their full backs in the way that Arsenal didn't last week, they will have to go inside where Catts and Vaughan will snap up anything loose( in a way that SOng and Ramsey didn't) and immediately go wide to Seb and Mclean, They will put balls across the 6 yard box early where Bendter/ Whicham will get some joy or they might clear it to the edge where Vaughan will be waiting. Need Ricco to play left back to negate their pace on the right and to play a high line to deny them the space to pass it. IMHO of course.

Haven't read through the thread so don't know if anyone else has predicted this, but I'm going for 8-0.

I'd be happy with a scrappy game, Sunderland containing Swansea and stifling every ounce of creativity out of them, and then catch them on the counter attack, hopefully scoring a couple and keeping a clean sheet.

2-0.

Clearly English isn't yours or you would have understood it.

Can you remember what the reactions to my opinions on the Chelsea result was like? I bloody well can. And I swore never again to place any importance on results and to shift my sense of importance totally to performances. You lot who are so wise and all-seeing more than made your views clear on where results rank when compared to performances.

You will be ashamed when we lose but play well. Do not tell me you will go home unhappy with that.

I loved your advanced thesis on probability that in a league where there are three possible results in each game, the only things affecting the result are how good you are and how well you play, and we know we are roughly as good as most teams around us, focusing on good performances to get results will only deliver one win out of a hundred attempts...

0-0. One of those games with a fair few chances, some football that is pleasing on the eyes, a streaker and a disallowed goal that the official just about got right, but ultimately a no score draw where everyone (apart from the streaker) goes home relatively happy.

Potentially our toughest game of the season so far IMO.

I totally agree with the first 5 words. But as I said we will put in a very decent performance like we did at Chelsea which is what everyone would be far more happier with than winning which does nothing for a team.

Results don't mean a jot. Performances are far more important because winning will come given the investment of hope by everyone.

Theirs not a person on here who would take losing every game from now till the end of the season playing well over winning every game from now till the end of the season playing poorly.

playing swansea is like making love to a beautiful girl, 1st thing you do is kick off then stick one in and then keep it very tight at the back...2-2
