I thought it was suggested that any points deduction was past the cutoff for this season though and would apply for next season instead - is that not right now? Clearly dodgy goings on but it puts a spanner in the betting conspiracy if the deduction is next season.

No. It was stated that if they arent relegated the 12 point deduction will go on this season (possibly relegating them). If they finish in the bottom 3 then theyll start next season with a 12 point deduction.

When the extent of our problems are largely a few debatable player purchases and sales and managerial appointments, you would hope that some are measured in the criticism of our ownership, because there's a lot worse out there.

There’s always the possibility of illegal activity, true. However from a football decision-making perspective - which tends to be quite important for football clubs - it’s tough to imagine anyone doing as piss poor a job as the Donald regime.

All that being said, I do wish the MLFs on twitter would stop it with the thirsty tweets to MPs about Donald and the parachute payments in comparison to the wigan situation. It’s not in the same ballpark. The wigan situation could well be criminal and is certainly underhand. Our situation is simply a case of unwarranted arrogance and an abject lack of technical ability, vision and intelligence. Safc is not the victim of crooks, it’s the victims of morons.

True enough. There’s a lot of football fans up and down the country not happy with the way their clubs are being ran, the clubs who I follow, Sunderland and Carlisle, being two of them. There’s even pillocks like Chi Onwuhra bringing it up in the House if Commons that Mike Ashley isn’t spending enough money at Newcastle! There’s nothing underhand going on at these clubs, they’re just not being ran in a way the fans would want.

If you look at the recent goings on at the likes of Bury, Blackpool, Northampton and now Wigan where it appears criminal activity has gone on then it makes you realise your clubs aren’t in as bad a position as first thought, there’s no comparison really. Football’s a very murky business nowadays - be careful what you wish for.

Yup. Those fans really need to knock it on the head. The two situations aren’t nearly comparable. Not necessary at all based on info that’s in the public domain. Our owners might be utterly useless but that isn’t anything to do with an mp. It’s misjudged and more than a little crass tbh.
