Always like reading the lad from Man City's posts and a couple of the Everton lads'.

Read it for a while (link from a Villa game I think), registered to talk about some issue I knew something about.

I stick around because this forum is genuinely one of the most witty and lively forums out there.

I try to keep my head down and be respectful, never post around a game day when feelings are running raw.

I do not know of another clubs forum that has this many non club fans as regular posters. You lot must be doing something right (or wrong....)

cheeky fucker, easily the best

Given that everything football related ends up on one forum instead of being spread out on 5-6 sub forums which is standard almost everywhere else but here I know why I like to frequent this forum.

I found it because I was bored off the old forum I used to be on so I looked for another one and I found this place. I like it because it has lots of users and it talks about all football rather than just Sunderland.

Should also say that this forum generally reflects very well on Sunderland supporters too, and that ultimately filters through to perceptions of some clubs, and the banter between fans.
It's a fairly welcoming board compared with most, and that lends itself to people quite liking Sunderland fans. I suppose some sets of fans want to live up to some aggressive reputation and adopt a crap online attitude too. I'm too old for all that.

I joined up when browsing by accident and saw a thread slating Stoke and our fans. I thought I'd try and prove the general concensus wrong that we're all toothless idiots that dribble all over the Sky camera's every August and January, generally aggressive tools and total football inbreds.

Anyhow, after I failed miserably on all three I thought I'd just stick around for the laughs. Having said that, I now read it most days as I generally get on with most I 'talk' to on here and find you a decent lot, so why not?

(I also have family on my mums side who are from Durham, big Sunderland fans who came down and married one of my mums sisters in the 60s, whose elder family had been down since the 40s and 50s with the mining industry down here)

That oakeystokie's starting to get a bit boring ;)

As a few on here have mentioned I came on here when Di Canio joined you.
At the time gutted but felt obliged to post and give you my honest opinion.
Apart from that have always loved the North East, the region but particularly the links to football. Our paths rarely cross unless you come across to Hartlepool or previously Darlington although Wembley was a highlight that days later turned sour.

Have loved every minute on this board and you will have to take my word I don't look at or post on any other Clubs board except this one.
I have shared the pain with some of you, certainly laughed and have pissed a few of you off.
I don't come on here to deliberately wind you up and I know I have very little in Common with many posters who look no further from the PL.
On the other hand the mutual respect to loyalty supporting a club that simply lets you down time and time again it's kind of therapy.

Of course I would love it if we played each other, even more so at the SOL.
I try and give an open view on what it's really like travelling the Country watching an unfashionable club, many of you can relate to the sacrifices you make, some don't give a shit and fine.

If I have outstayed my welcome then I would exit, no final post just simply move on. It is though a great message board irrespective of opinions.

11 first team injuries now and it won't even make the papers. :)

Been on here for 8 years now, signed up when my mate at Sunderland Uni showed me the site. Thought it was decent so stayed. The above two can fuck off, I'm staying.
Been here late 90's early 00's....it like stiffing for gold nuggets (words of wisdom) but it's always nice to find someone knowledgeable on that particular subject. All in all nice bunch of lads & lasses...I'm looking forward to talking with Mrs BSA if she finds her way on here!!!!
