Sunlun are massive

He was a Kevin Ball type as a player, hard as nails but much more ability than Bally

The sort of player you want in your team but hate when he plays elsewhere.
Mellowed as he got older. Does a lot for charities and he's a vegan.

Proof that leopards CAN change their spots.

I f***ing love Bally, he's my fav Sunderland player but Bally wasn't in the same league as souness as a player ability wise like you say. Sourpuss would Be a £100m midfielder in the modern game.

He's always spoke his mind seems to have mellowed in time, super Sunday with him and keano f***ing testosterone off the charts 🤣 I couldn't stand the bloke bit like keano but he's grown on me not just with statements like this one just listening to him talk football like keano doesn't abide by the toe the line mantra.

most older folk realise the potential of our club, whether we ever get to see it fulfilled is another matter
When you see Brentford and Brighton doing ok in the prem you realise that the game has changed and history and support has very little effect on a clubs success....all that matters is money in todays game and in that respect sadly we are very small fry!Until that changes we will continue to look up from the financial gutter.I do wonder if kld has some sort of investment plan if we reach the prem or sadly we will be crushed!

The Durham comment should be true but there’s just as many mags there now so find that comment a bit disrespectful to the city which just like Newcastle follow their local club and is the only place in the north east that is staunch sunderland. How can ya say well Newcastles support comes from the city and sunderlands is from durham? They’re the ones with the plastic support not us

And of course they also get a lot of support from the surrounding towns & villages in Northumberland.
