Bloody hell that's quite a jump in figures for Sunderland, a fair bit more than every other LA except Cumbria.

It's gone up 126 in the last 3 days from 152 to 278 and doubled in last 4 and tripled in the 7. Here's hoping it's just down to slightly more testing. This may be a positive test but how many end up getting admitted? A new figure I heard today's brief was that 17,911 had been admitted to hospital and we've had 47,806 UK cases so could you say that just over a 1/3 get admitted? Obviously this won't be the same ratio in every hospital.

No mate but bump this thread again after I've posted ;) The official GOV source I get the data from automatically is yet to update but the Echo may get them earlier or jump the gun and simply revise the article like happened today with the official death figures from Sky.

68 deaths in Sunderland and South Tyneside according to Sky . I didn’t realise it was that high . Double that of Newcastle who are on 30

I also noticed the hospital admissions graphic today shows a drop in admissions for the North East. As you notice above Northumberland didn't have any cases so probably still some missing data somewhere along the line.

Ignore Sky as they're giving out confusing numbers. It's 81 as it was 68 yesterday. I've also posted a rant about their numbers in the forum HERE and I'll be explaining the reason why very shortly as I've finally sussed what they were doing.

Thirteen more coronavirus-related deaths in South Tyneside and Sunderland.
The latest figures from NHS England today, Tuesday, April 7, show 81 people who have died tested positive for the virus, up from 68 yesterday. Across the North East’s seven trusts, there have been 288 deaths, a rise of 38 since yesterday.

I've also finally found the source for all hospitals deaths and I can confirm it's 81 so Sky are f***ing useless! As you can see it's 31 in Newcastle so gone up 1.

Deaths are grouped together as a Trust and not the same split like cases but even so they're creeping up. Bear in mind, these are not daily deaths or the last 24 hours. They are deaths that have been added to the cumulative total. They could have died a day or more ago, sometimes weeks.
