Second leg was Sunday afternoon
I'm probably completely wrong - I quite like being comfortably numb on some of the details of that night. Was definitely an evening game though wasnt it - seem to remember it being a night game not an afternoon one???
careful - I might start to remember and quietly sob. Its maybe the gutted feeling after the first leg I'm remembering - seemed inevitable after that tbh.
the first leg was a night game. i remember chucking a sickie to go.

Why post such horrible things. After all this time, it's flooding back.![]()
i was in the roker end that day right next to the gillingham fans, remember mags giving it the big one waving toon shirts, they were given there own section in the clock stand paddocks,i would say no more than 100 of them.
They were taken out long before the end mate so not sure what you heard. They were already back on the train and reached the scum long before we reached division three.
The mags were there till the very end, and then locked in the ground for ages for their own safety. At no point during the game were they taken out. If they had of been, most of the ground would have emptied at the same time.
So not much difference between this and 2 years earlier, when they shouted 'United', then broke the landspeed record to get onto the pitch?
Hard as granite. The lot of you.
Just look at them sprinting to get away.

ones at the front look like they're having a nice stroll past the paddocks!
yes. A Tuesday IIRC. I remember it being very very dark, but that maybe wasnt the light.
Like I said, hard as granite. Chucking coins and everything. Pwoper naughty.
It was a Sunday afternoon in May, it was not dark.
The mags were there till the end as the poliss held the train at seaburn to put them on the back.
When people say that we are obsessed with them, just hoy that day in the fat faces. Then add magazines Lets all laugh at Sunderland 1 and 2 , then say what the thick arseholes say.

not reckon all those could've put up a fight like if they had of stopped in the fulwell apart from putting up one 'united' and making their exit? hard as granite.
Haway man. They wouldn't want to have it with you lads. What with you being nails and all that.
