That match stinks of the obsession they deny thay have about us.

Wasn't there a thread on here asking who was going down to Villa to dance on our grave - and talk of draping banners from motorway bridges for the journey home? Surely that is showing exactly the same level of obsession.

Despite claims made in here that Sunderland fans have more class than their black & white neighbours :)lol:), I think you'll find that almost any charge you could level against the Mags will have an equivalent somewhere within your own support.

Anyway, regardless of how many mags were there or claim to have been there their arses went big style in the clockstand. So anyone boasting about being in that section of mags is a f***ing bottler because they were shitting their pants:lol::lol::lol:

As earlier posters have stated 150-200 maximum, they were in the Clockstand Paddock towards the Roker End,i was in the Fulwell that day and there wasn't a peep from any in there,we walked down past the Clockstand after the game and you could hear them singing inside,if i had a quid for every mag i've heard say he was there i'd have £31,854.

There was 49 of them on a coach coming back from Edinburgh. And me. Crowed around a tranny (that's a radio, by the way).

i was in the main stand roker wing seats and their was around 200 of the kernts directly opposite. i was with my father in the car when a load of mags were getting kicked to fuck in between the cambridge and allied carpets after the match.

that was a horrible day supporting sunderland. character building i think it would be called, a test of your mettle as a sunderland fan.
perhaps it would be an idea for those going ott at our current status should remember that day and just how bad it was.
it did however result in one of my fondest seasons following sunderland the year after.:-D:-D:-D

Yep mine too - that was a class season, more of us than home fans many a time - Rotherham away was awesome :-D

I remember walking home in tears, thought it was the end of the world. But that season in the 3rd was excellent, my first ever away game was at Blackpool, great days out at York, Scunthorpe etc and Marco was excellent!!

About 150 mags in the paddock and some mixed in with Gillingham, i seen a couple mags i new from school in the away end!!

that was some day out, remember some pissed bloke ran on the pitch and tried to take a penalty, funny as f@ck!!

They were taken out long before the end mate so not sure what you heard. They were already back on the train and reached the scum long before we reached division three.

just to clarify they were not allocated any section, but bought home tickets for the CS paddock it would appear by pre-arrangment with each other - abou 150-200 - no access to away tickets for such a popular game for the Gills. Around another 100 max would be dotted elsewhere, it seems from accounts from our side. The police instead of evicting them (as would no doubt have occurred the other way about), herded them for there own safety up against the Roker End and protected them all night. They were unable to be heard above the Gillingham fans at anytime, and didnt last to the end.

One mag I know for certain was there was Colin Westwood, he is long since banned from footy games but was there and doesn't take the piss. There was a few run ins well after that when the mags got a good kicking but they did turn up on that day.
