As already stated, they were predominantly in the Roker wing of the Clockstand, so you probably wouldn;t have heard.

One chant I remember them singing is "Hesford, you're a joke".

Not too far from the truth to be fair......

Was it fuck 1500. 200 at the very very most. Coppers hearded them into clockstand paddocks corner next to the roker end. They had about 5 yards of terracing.

1500 would have been half of the paddock FFS

my season ticket was roker wing clockstand seats and they did indeed have the very end section of the clockstand between 150 -200 unwashed standing with about a dozen in the seats

been to more safc games than nufc games you then, obsessed weirdo.

Two none NUFC games. One as in the subject title and a game v WBA on free tickets off Andy Hunt who my mate was good mates with (In with the WBA hobnobs). I left before half time. So, technically speaking one and a half.

The season we went down IIRC 1969?.

No, was in response to RadioFreeEurope asking if SAFC had ever 'taken' the Leazes End...... when surely every away game in 80's/90's until SJP was redeveloped SAFC always 'took' the Leazes End, due to it being the away end.

On a wider note, I really don't understand the obsession the Mags have with us, and/or this game.

im sat in perth western australia reading this , brought back memories of that sunday the fuckers about 10 of them were being ushered in to the clock stand opposite the old supporters shop by one or two coppers me and mates not hooligans but well known as we were from from roker fulwell etc gave it to them and i cleaned one out big time by chance, coppers came from behind roker end and that was it all over

That match stinks of the obsession they deny thay have about us.

200 absolute max. Was in the small roker corner as Gillingham had the big corner. Was only a kid but don't remember feeling intimated by their "huge" squad. Not many who watch them now would have a clue about this. Obviously, they've never been obsessed with us like......

Some rewriting of history on this thread;)

About 200 in the clock stand paddocks (including me) with the gillingham fans behind us. We were kept in till the ground was clear then were escorted with the gillingham fans to Seaburn where the platform had been cleared to get the train home.

Never saw any bother in or outside of the ground.

exactly as I saw it, but the mackems deny any of this, cause most were not there

Im sorry mag fucker but that absolute bollocks
Like I said earlier a group of old school mags think they called themsels
BIG tams.lams/yams summit like that were hangin around Roker baths Rd well after the game and there were loads of 1 to 1s No OB in sight
These were proper lads not bottle trhowin Gremlins

do yer fuckin research with yer elders!!!

there may well have been bother, but I never saw one incident outside the ground & nobody got near our escort after the game (well after the game)

I tell ya what, these Mags must have had their gobs shut cos I was in The Fulwell with my mates and we never knew there were any Mags in the ground..

we heard the blaydon races from the paddock before kick off (we were in the fullwell end then) & you could clearly see mags waving black and white scarves above their heads. All of the mackems around us seen this, it was then we made our way to the paddock with the help of northumbrias finest

my season ticket was roker wing clockstand seats and they did indeed have the very end section of the clockstand between 150 -200 unwashed standing with about a dozen in the seats

and somewhere underneath the mackem propaganda...lies the smatterings of the truth (as told by mags on here...but denied by most mackems who weren't there)

Were you pushing Stawberry in his pram?

Never heard Blaydon Races at all, and don't remember the escort of any mag fans from the Fulwell End to the Paddocks. And I was there that day. You sure you're not making that bit up, or thinking of the 1984/85 derby where there were fans escorted into the paddocks from the Fulwell?? I'll be charitable and assume the latter, although I'll hold my hands up and admit I'm wrong if any other non-Mag posters say this happened, because I can't remember that.

As i was there and 90% of posters who mentioned above say 100-200 max so no denial there waving scarves above there heads etc bulshit and they were very well protected by the ob other wise they would of been seriously battered so exactly what is being denied youngun because you were'nt there  idiot

100 max - 200 would be 10 deep i.e. back of the paddock to the front and 20 across.

Somewhere between 50 to 100 a good few of who got chased up Roker Baths Road once their Dutch courage had worn off.

I thought it was their massive 24" penis's they were waving above their heads whilst destroying the Fulwell end with their laser beam vision. I was the only Mackem there that day BTW !

I'd say about 1000 were there. Can't remember them being given their own section, just trying to get in where they could.

you obviously wrent there.

they were given 2 sections of the Clock Stand paddock which they didnt fill - max 300 there.

1000 ffs man:oops:

Notice I corrected myself. It was a mistake as I added an extra 0. Much like most Mags.
