not like us.

Every game so far we've looked to take the initiative from the start.

Tonight, we were passive, sat off and they've had the momentum

maybe down to Stewart disruption?
100 %, we had to complele
Think the pace of the game has been the problem here, causing loose passes and mistakes - that goes for both teams. Reckon we can sneak a goal.
Give me 2 pork pies & several pints & i will agree with you

Loads of wankers on this thread mind. This season is going to be a bit like this peaks and troughs. We are ok but there are better teams than us at this level including Boro. There’s no need to slaughter players who make a mistake or aren’t quite at their best. A big learning experience. Fingers crossed we improve second half but if we don’t they will hopefully learn from it.
Did you really expect anything else? When we win we are the best team in the league and when we aren’t at our best we are nailed on for relegation.

There’s never any middle ground.

Problem is not playing one up front - Simms has done OK and Boro play with one up front - the problem is the man in space, Roberts, offers nothing and neither has Pritchards. I think we have been scuppered by planning the game in one shape and have to change with a few minutes to go. But Roberts needs hooking.
Agree, we look like we’re playing with 10 at times. Infact we played better at sheff utd with 10. Big 45 ahead.

Don't think the ref has been too bad tbf. Took a while before getting his cards out and they were all fair.
Gooch and Mowatt should have been booked, but if 5 players were going into second half on booking, almost certainly going to be a red In the game, got a feeling that could still be the case.

Gooch and Clarke have been excellent prior to this game getting the ball in early. None of that tonight it’s as if they don’t expect Simms to be able to cope with that ?

Would realistically go with Dajaku or Diallo up front. If we can't have the presence of Stewart then I'd prefer a bit pace next to Simms rather than the two of Pritchard and Roberts mostly floating around behind him.
