Loads of wankers on this thread mind. This season is going to be a bit like this peaks and troughs. We are ok but there are better teams than us at this level including Boro. There’s no need to slaughter players who make a mistake or aren’t quite at their best. A big learning experience. Fingers crossed we improve second half but if we don’t they will hopefully learn from it.
We’re a mid table side this season, nothing more. Not playing well tonight but we’ve looked good the majority of the season.

Need to up our game 2nd half to get something though, Boro look fairly comfortable.

I can understand how the Stewart withdrawal will have messed with the system and game plan so close to the start of the game, but I'd expect Mowbray to get this in order at half-time.

Big test for him.

Roberts hasn't really been involved enough.

Stewart has been our best player this season though, always going to be a loss.

We've done okay in patches, and Pritchard had to score but we haven't really got enough possession high up the pitch. Need to move the ball quicker too.

Neil is a classy footballer.

Boro closing us down very well in midfield. We need more movement and more energy. They look more dangerous up top. Changes needed.

We can beat their press, tidily enough.

But we can't transition quickly when we do.

The gaps between Pritchard, Roberts and an isolated Simms are too big. And the wing backs aren't making interesting runs - it's very predictable from them.

All in all, we look static. Understandable, given our most dynamic mover isn't on the pitch. But Mowbray needs to think this out now. This is where you earn your money, because we're not out of it by an stretch.

Might be worth going 4-3-3. Haven't really looked at our bench to see how plausible that is.
