Sunderland to seal Dong deal

Judging by the 2010-11 youtube compilation he certainly appears two or three steps ahead of the competition he faced. Looks pretty quick and seems to be able to put it where he wants to with his head.

600 grand? Worth a punt.

He's right though in a sense, he is infinitely more accomplished at international level, having scored 6 goals in 11 games or whatever it is. more talented? don't know enough about him, but he seems talented.

The only really ridiculous thing they are saying is that we are insulting them by paying so little. football is a business, and you pay the lowest amount possible. It is Chunnam's fault for the low buyout value. They mustn't have valued him very highly when they agreed the contract. If their value raised then they should have offered him a better contract, and changed the value of the buyout. If they think any other clubs would have paid more without having to then they are living in dreamland.

I hope this transfer comes off because I really do think he looks like a talented footballer, and I hope he comes here and becomes the next Korean star in Europe. I hope Korean fans will realise that English people having a laugh about eating dogs shouldn't really be taken insultingly. For many people in England, the fact that many people in Korea eat dog meat is the first thing that comes to their minds. I've eaten dog meat myself in Vietnam and I can tell you it was a pretty good meal. Wouldn't order it all the time mind you. English cuisine is laughed at by many Europeans and put down, just like the English tease the Scottish about deep-frying everything. Although a little silly that this is the first thing people think about, I don't think it can be racist unless someone says "Koreans aren't as good as us because they eat dog meat."

If this transfer comes off I personally would like to invite the Koreans from that board to join up here and give us the lowdown on JDW. You will hear lots of jokes about penises and dog meat, but I'm sure you can be thick-skinned enough to cope. You will have half the board believing he is crap and useless after one bad game. Half this board are absolute morons, but if you sort the wheat from the chaf you can usually get some pretty good debates and discussions about football.

Oh, and SAFC is a good option for him to come to, exactly because we only have 1 fit striker at the moment. Any new strikers we buy will all have just as much chance to prove themselves.

Very good post.

Wouldn't be a bad idea for you to post in on there if the deal goes through.

Some right idiots on there, one of them is having a go at us for not publicising anything about the deal, yes excellent idea lets tell everyone so other clubs could potentially come in and take the lad from under our noses.
It's not our fault this move isnt headline news, apparently this means we dont deserve him and he should go to Bolton despite the fact we're a far more attractive club.

Big, strong, and like shit off a stick, can't fall off for that price ;)

Yep some of those make this place look normal.

I seriously hope he doesnt even consider Newcastle. I will definitely lose respect for him if he shovels it to that level. No need. And I cannot fathom him playing with the likes of a turd like Joey Barton. I dont think I despise any other footballer more. Well JTerry is pretty damn close.

Its a risk but a cheap one.

It ill be a struggle for him to adapt to life over here and the EPL.

Will the fans give him time ??????????? (if he comes)
