If the article about his wages is correct hes not on much compared to some. £8,000 a week wages. Still canny like:lol:

A Good Song for Ji Dong-Won

Ji Dong-Won my lord,
Ji Dong-Won,
Ji Don-Won my lord,
Ji Dong-Won,
Ji Dong-Won my lord,
Ji Dong-Won,
Oh lord Ji Dong Won.

That would be the best and easiest song to get going.

Incredibly similar circumstances to the Chung Yong Lee deal when he went to Fulham - same age, good record at international level, and I highly expect in both cases no one had a clue if they were going to make it.

South Korea have a canny international record to be fair, they've had much better World Cups than England over the past decade

Bolton

Financially it could be a good deal.

What has to be remembered (pay attention, pants-shitting halfwits) is that due to the league he's coming from, he will probably look absolutely shite and completely lost to begin with. Time and patience is most definitely required with this lad. He'll need to get quicker and stronger and that takes time.

Unlike McShane who looked brilliant but turned out to be shit

My mate's cousin plays for Reading and reckons that Ji Dong was on their books 2 or 3 years ago. Is this true?

why?
I see no reason at this stage for excitement

People are excited about a 20 year old Korean striker who scored 8 goals in the K-League, but they are writing off a French international from Ligue 1 champions, because he signed for Newcastle. Weird that.

Dong may become a great signing in time but he did nothing to be excited for until now.

QUOTE:

The K-League outfit are disappointed at losing their starlet but admitted they had little choice but to let him go.

"It is a great loss for us to lose him after having him only for one season and after spending many years to train him," a club spokesperson said.

Sound familiar? SAFC & JH. Not such a big deal when the boot is on the other foot.

hopefully he more of an impact than Angeleri and Riveros. Even if I think the latter still have a future at SAFC. wait and see.

I think people are excited because of the impact chung yong lee and park ji sung have had
and Ki Sung Yueng

Don't usually try to do songs but what about the beginin of seven nation army by White strips. The Guitar intro sang as 'dong dong dong dong dong dong'

excellent signing, this time last year all the kids were mincing about with "bent" wrote across their backs.

"dong" is much more masculine and will stand them in good stead for the future. for this reason alone it is worth the 600k fee. the local clergy will be delighted

Except his club put a release clause in his contract, so not the same.

Based on this thread, it appears you lot got him for cheap and the korean fans are very pissed that he is going to a "poor" club like Sunderland.

They'd also prefer him to go to Bolton, which considering where they finished in the league and the size of the respective clubs, shows that they don't know what they are talking about.

As an atheist I just couldn't accept such a song:lol:

here's my attempt:

to the Hong Kong Phooey song (one of the best cartoons of my childhood I'll have you know!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW54W9y6-eU

Ji Dong Wo-ooon,
Number 10, Sunderland,
Ji Dong Wo-ooon,
Quicker than Jackie Chan!
He's got style, will run a mile
with legs that just won't stop.
When we're on a roll, he scores a goal,
with a Ji Dong Wo-on shot!
Yeah!
(Repeat)

Kind of works (not 100%) in my accent, but I think Jackie Chan would have to be changed for you guys.

first attempt at a song, go easy...

edit: obviously number change as well, just for now.
