I refuse to believe that SMB posters would deliberately make up false stories.
More likely @Sidewinder2 mates got wind of Netflix on the verge of not picking up Season 2 of STID.
But then the MSD news broke, and Netflix changed their minds and will pick up Seasons 2 and 3.
It wasn't commissioned ages ago as that's not how Netflix work, they buy completed series 90% of the time. They didn't want it , potentially take over is too good to miss out on now apparently.
