Sunderland on this day in 1992

your wish is my command

What a goal by Bobby Moore at 0.54

looks like our number 7 had a good game - a certain H Redknapp
Hurst first was hand ball.
I was a young 20 yr old at the time working in London and watched games and some of Londons greats all over the city and of course watched the lads when we playing there. Ah happy memories.

Sliced clearances, heading directly to opposition players, non-existent marking, headless chicken defending. But enough about Lincoln 2-0 Lads. Thanks for this grim reminder of one of our fairly regular pastings we get every couple of years.....

I think he died just before we played you in 1993. Great player.
he did, 0-0 up there i believe was first game after
Hurst first was hand ball.

it was and he admitted as much! a young Trevor Brooking with our other goal

No sign of Alvin Martin's vicious attack on Don Goodman that left him with a split heed (or possibly eye).

Wasn't that the match where we conceded at least a couple while Goodman was off getting treatment? I seem to remember our fans doing the conga in the away end after West Ham scored their fifth and sixth goals...

Makes me feel old!
