Sunderland MP talks about her weight battle

I appreciate her honesty. She is human like the rest of us and faces the same challenges as many people with weight and healthy eating.

She appears to have made no attempt whatsoever to lose any weight despite it leading to high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. As I assume she is an intelligent woman she's a very poor example to anyone.

Most spokespeople on things such as gambling or drinking are either reformed gamblers or drinkers or don't have gambling or drink problems. Her on the other hand...

Hopefully a shaming thread on the SMB will make her get her fat arse in gear and drop a couple of sizes.

As an aside she's been an absolute plodder in Parliament in all the years she's been there.

That article reads like she’s in massive denial whilst appearing to be open about her issues. There’s no excuse for supposedly intelligent people to start blaming others for their own self-inflicted problems. At least have the balls to own your own faults.

Why should it take a doctor to give her dietary advice when you can’t move for online and magazine articles pouring out healthy recipes and warning of the risks of being overweight?

The doctor told her she was pre-diabetic, surely that’s a great big klaxon going off right there. And there were plenty of other signs before that.

Tbf who wouldn't want to be privy to the subsidised House Of Commons canteen not withstanding allowed expenses. I personally wouldn't be moaning about it though.

Doctor who?

She’s a joke.
In charge of Sunderlands family services that failed to look after vulnerable children.
Stabbed her boss in the back by resigning then grovelled to get her job back.
Ignored the electorate and didn’t represent them over Brexit.

And plenty of others follow the pattern. Turns out that weight issues are a bit more complicated than the willpower bores would have us believe.

After being told numerous times by the doctor to lose weight, knowingly having high blood pressure, she was shocked when diagnosed?
